This is our church, Paroisse Libenge Moke. Libenge Moke is a small town located on the outskirts of Gemena and the church is about a twenty minute walk from the Elikya Center. On any given Sunday there are about 200 people in attendance. The bricks that are piled up around the church are for the pastor's house which is going to be built in the near future. The church is currently underoing "Operation Manzanza" to replace the thatched roof (manzanza is tin roofing). Each member of the church is being encouraged to purchase a segment of roofing or, if the means are lacking, to go in with a couple fellow worshippers for the purchase.

A Quick Report from the Classroom
I just wanted to send out a real quick update. We are in the middle of our third week of English classes. They have been a lot of fun and everybody seems to be enjoying them and learning a lot too. See below.
Most classes involve repetition of selected vocabulary to supplement the phonics lessons we are working through right now. We are also practicing dialogues, singing songs and playing games (all educational of course).
We are hoping to send out our latest newsletter within the next week. As usual it will also be posted on our blog.
